To connect to an XML file using the OLE DB Provider (driver) please follow the procedure below:

Start Excel

Open the Connection dialog:
SQL*XL | Connect...
|
|
Start the Data Link Properties wizard
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Choose the Provider viksoe.dk OLE DB Provider for XML.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Enter a descriptive name as Data Source. SQL*XL will use
this name as database name
|
|
Enter the full path to
the xml file in the Location field
|
|
Username seems to be ignored. You can
enter anything here.
|

Always use the Test Connection button before you continue
|
|
|
After connecting to the database once you can reconnect by selecting the connection from the
Connection History list and typing the Password.
