To connect an DB2 database using the OLE DB Provider (driver) please follow the procedure below:

Open the Connection dialog: SQL*XL | Connect...
Start the Data Link Properties wizard
 

 
Choose the Provider   IBM OLE DB Provider for DB2 Servers.
 

 

 
As data source put in the name of your database. 
When you leave the user name and password blank you will use NT integrated security. If that does not work enter your username and password as indicated in the screenprint above.
Always use the Test Connection button before you continue
 

After connecting to the database once you can reconnect by selecting the connection from the Connection History list and typing the Password.
