Requirements to meet

Extract data from Oracle to Excel, allow users to do mass updates in Excel and then re-import back into Oracle.

Issues to tackle

We need to give users a tool to update mass amounts of data efficiently.

Approach taken

Customized spreadsheet using VBA and SQL*XL to allow users to query needed data, make updates and then re-import the modified data back into Oracle.

Results

We are still in the process of implimenting SQL*XL, but so far so good.
