Needed to create reports with data from database info directly into an excel file.

End user is not familiar with databases or SQL and needed to be able to get a report on demand.

Approach taken

We purchased SQL*XL!

Results

End user can now run any report on demand through the "favorites" and doesn't need to learn SQL.

Software works very well, is easy to use, saves a lot of time, and the price is a bargain. Now I don't have to spend $1000 on TOAD by Quest Software.
