Requirements to meet

Provide access to an ORACLE database without having to write any application code (except the SQL) and get data into an EXCEL spreadsheet

Issues to tackle

The main application is in Java but we had no time to do anything fancy to made ad hoc reports (which users wants in EXCEL due to the nature of the data)

Approach taken

Use SQL*XL3 for the MIS of the system

Results

Get a complete system much cheaper than if we hand coded the lot
