SQL*Codes is an HTML help file providing explanations and hints to the Oracle Messages and codes that may be displayed during the use of Oracle products.

Both SQL*Syntax and SQL*Codes are companion files to SQL*XL. When errors occur in SQL there is often the need to get an accurate error description. SQL*Codes provides a paragraph to discribe the error instead of the usual ORA-xxxxx one liner. Often hints are given how to resolve the error.
