SearchReplace is a utility that searches for files that contain a search string. A search text can be entered or read in from a file. The software searches for files that contain the search text. It can recurse subdirectories so you can use it to quickly search an entire directory structure.

When matches are found the file names of the files that contain the text are displayed in a list. Selecting a file from the list will show the file in the software and the found text is highlighted.

If the replace option is used the same search is done as described above. However now a replacement text will be inserted for the search string in the files.
