Optical conductivity spectroscopy
Optical conductivity spectroscopy measures the response of the electrodynamic interaction with charge carries. A spectrum shows the conductivity vs frequency.
Optical conductivity is a material property which links the current density to the electric field:
J(ω) = σ(ω) E(ω)
where J = current density
σ = optical conductivity
E = electric field
ω = frequency
