Tomonaga-Luttinger liquid
A (Tomonaga) Luttinger liquid, is a theoretical model describing interacting electrons in a 1D conductor.
Such a model is necessary as the commonly used Fermi liquid model breaks down for one dimension.
A  Luttinger  liquid is a paramagnetic 1D metal without Landau quasi-particle excitations.
In 1-D materials the Fermi liquid theory breaks down. Such a system should behave as a Luttinger liquid instead.
