Vibrational temperature
The vibrational temperature is commonly used in thermodynamics to simplify certain equations.
It has units of temperature and is defined as
θvib = hcν / kB
kB: constant of Bolzmann
h: Planck's constant
c: speed of light?
ν: vibrational frequency
The vibrational temperature is used commonly when finding the vibrational partition function.
Molcas's McKinley program computes the vibrational temperature.
