Differentiation
 
A derivative is a measure of how much a function changes if a particular variable is changed.
 
Notation  
f(x)': first derivative of function f(x): df(x)/dx
f(x)'': second derivative of function f: d2f(x)/dx2
 
Derivatives of trigoniometric functions:
(sin x)'=cos x
(cos x)'=-sin x
 
( sin(ax) )' = acos x
( sin(ax +b) )' = acos(ax+b)
 
Power functions:
(ax)' = a
(xn)' = nx(n-1)
