Update on document with multiple tabs
18.03.11 at 18:38:32

I started a new document and used SQL*XL (version 5) with multiple queries to generate multiple tabs. Now I cannot figure out how to make it focus on a specific tab. For example, if I want to do an update on the data in the first tab, how do I do that? If I select Update Multiple Rows and Show Range, it always shows that the last tab is the one it's working on.

That is correct.
The update feature can update the last retrieved recordset only.

So, suppose you ran 5 select statements. Then only the 5th is updatable. If you want to update the results of statement 3 just requery that statement and then you can only update statement 3.

I hope this clarifies it.

Is there some way to do that from the SQL Editor, or do I have to remove the other 4 (in your case) queries to do that?

No, sorry. Just select the top left cell of the results in Excel. It will have a comment attached to the cell in which the SQL is stored. If you select the cell and open the SQL window it will be automatically loaded in for refresh.
That is the easiest to requery a statement.
