Schedule a job on the crontab
 
Using the crontab command you can schedule a command to run. Put the crontab command in a file e.g. called contab.txt and apply it using the command:
 
crontab crontab.txt
 
Contents of crontab.txt

0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,
30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39,40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50,51,52,53,54,55,56
,57,58,59 * * * *   bash /home/user/cron/mycmd

 
In this example the command bash /home/user/cron/mycmd runs every minute. Perhaps there is a better way to do this without writing out all minutes...
 
To remove the scheduled command use:
crontab -e
 
This will open a vi like editor. Just delete the lines and save it. No more commands are schedules on the crontab.
