Connetion between Excel and Access

Quote:
i want to create connection between excel and access. Such that if i enter key id in excel, it should get info for that record from access adn paste in excel...stuck at ODBC creation, can u help atleats with a hint?

Here is a page with a detailed and downloadable example:
http://www.oraxcel.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1172472832

However for a simpel and quick test you can use these instructions:

1. connect to your access database
2. type an id value in A1: e.g. 123
3. In e.g. D10 type the formula:
    =SQLQueryValue("select count(*) from mytable where id=" & A1)

That's it!
Just change the number in A1 and you will see the result will be changed as well.
