Mathematica DisplayTogether displays separate

Oddly the DisplayTogether command in Mathematica that should plot graphs together, plots separate graphs.

f = Fit[data, {x^2}, x]
DisplayTogether[Plot[f, {x, 0, 30}]
, ListPlot[data, PlotStyle -> PointSize[.03]]
]

Adding a Needs Graphics command solves the problem for some reason. The plots are now in one graphics object:

Needs["Graphics`Graphics`"]
f = Fit[data, {x^2}, x]
DisplayTogether[Plot[f, {x, 0, 30}]
, ListPlot[data, PlotStyle -> PointSize[.03]]
]
