MS SQL2000 to SQL2005 order by in view does not work

Dear Support
We are using SQLXL and have had great use of it.

Now we have migrate from MS SQL2000 to SQL2005. When we are query a View in SQL2005 where it have sort order inside View, it does'nt sort when recieving query in SQLXL.

We are query the View directly as it was an database. I.e. select * from myView, where myView is i.e.:
SELECT TOP (100) PERCENT a, b, c, d, e, f, g
FROM dbo.mytable
ORDER BY a, b, c, d, e

The same View was function under SQL2000 where result was sorted correctly.

When we copy and paste the sql query from the myView directly into SQLXL (SQL Editor)it will function. It seems like that the order by clause are not function when we query myView directly from SQLXL.

I found reports that this is a known issue in MS SQL Server 2005.

FIX: When you query through a view that uses the ORDER BY clause in SQL Server 2008, the result is still returned in random order.

The fix for this issue was first released in Cumulative Update 1

It has therefore nothing to do with the SQL*XL software itself. The data is posted in random order by the database and SQL*XL can only pass it through like that.
