Unspecified error, timestamp, ODBC Oracle

I am using the Microsoft Oracle ODBC driver and I get "unspecified" error when I try to access a table with a "timestamp" column. What do you recommend I do.

That's correct. The ODBC driver has problems with timestamp columns. Oracle has a new ate and time format: timestamps. You can e.g. query: select current_timestamp from dual

When using ODBC the above query will fail with the "unspecified error" message. You need to wrap the timestamp in a to_char: select to_char(current_timestamp) from dual or you need to use another driver. I recommend OLEDB.
