Passing variables to proc returning a ref cursor

Using the resultset_from_proc function a stored Oracle procedure or package can be called that returns a so called ref cursor. The data of the ref cursor will be returned to Excel or to another output target if selected.

Examples:
select * from resultset_from_proc('mypackage.my_proc(?)');
select * from resultset_from_proc('mypackage.my_proc(1,2,?)');
select * from resultset_from_proc('mypackage.my_proc(&A1, &A2, ?);

We added the possibility to pass more variables to the stored procedure through substitution variables. In general it is possible to pass bind variables (e.g. :A1) and substitution variables (e.g. &A1) to a stored procedure or query. Procedures returning a ref cursor can only be combined with other variables as hard coded parameters or substitution variables.

This new feature will be made available in SQL*XL 4.2.7.
