**Inverse of a matrix** The inverse of a nxn square inversable matrix A is A

^{-1} if the following is true:

^{-1}=A

^{-1}A = I in which I is the nxn unit matrix.

A square nxn matrix A is called inversable if there is a matrix B such that AB = BA = I in which I is the nxn unit matrix.
