Convert jpg to 300dpi

I needed to supply a jpg image file with 300dpi. To find out the numbers of dpi of the image windows explorer helped out. Right click the file, on to the file properties. In the summary section a button provides access to the advanced properties. In this screen you can view the dpi settings of the file. In my case the file format was 72dpi.

To change the dpi setting I created a new file with paint shop pro. When creating a new image in PSP it asks for the size and for the dpi value. I created a file with the same dimensions as the file I need to convert and with the correct dpi, in my case 300dpi. A simpel copy and paste of the old image did the trick.
