Question:
We are receiving the following error when executing a macro to select and return records:
 
Compile error: can't find project or library
 
The code was written in version 3 and still works in version 3, but returns an error using the current version.
 
Answer:
The error means that your workbook has lost its reference to the SQLXL project. The reference will be to the sqlxl.xla file. Perhaps when you upgraded you put the files in a different directory and perhaps you removed the old directory. Now the workbooks point to the wrong location.
 
You can add the references manually as per the article referenced below.
