Insert sequence number with multiple rows insert

Question:
How can I insert a sequence number for a column from SQL*XL while doing a multiple rows insert on a multi column table on Oracle.

Answer:
The best thing is that a trigger inserts the sequence number automatically and you leave the column out of the insert multiple rows process in SQL*XL.

If you do have to include the column - when you cannot provide the trigger - you can try to use the SQLQueryValue function in the cells for this column to retrieve the new index value. Something like: select sequence.nextval from dual;
Then run the multiple rows insert process.
