Oracle's PLSQL and SQL Server's TSQL

SQL*XL supports Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server's TSQL. Code for both languages can be submitted from the SQL dialog. This way jobs can be started and any logic in the database can be invoked. You can send anonymous PL/SQL jobs but you can also use the exec command to execute a call.

When a SQL Server TSQL procedure is called it can produce output in the form of recordsets. These recordsets are picked up to SQL*XL and the they are dealt with as if a SQL select statement was executed.

Oracle PL/SQL can also be submitted as a so called anonymous PL/SQL block:
begin
  statement1;
  statement2;
  ...
end;
