Failed to create SQL Favorites folder

Question:
After I have opened the SQL*XL program, Excel displays the following warning. By the way, the OS for my PC is windows vista. Thks very much.

Failed to create SQL Favorites folder c:\program files\SQL*XL\SQLFavorites

Answer:
SQL*XL will try to create a directory for the SQL Favorite files. By default it will try to create the directory as a subdirectory of the SQL*XL program directory. You can change the directory however. Just make a directory anywhere (preferrably on a local disk) and change the program preferences accordingly.

In SQL*XL version 4.1.12 the SQLFavorites directory will be created by default in the application data section for the user. In my case (user name gjlinker) it is located in: c:\documents and settings\gjlinker\application data\LITSoftware\SQLXL\SQLFavorites
