Oracle list of tables

SQL*XL user Kelly from the USA asked:

Question:
Is there a way to input into Excel a simple list of all available tables in the oracle database?

Answer:
Yes there is. You can do a select * from all_tables. To get the list of tables owned by the current user/schema, use select * from user_tables

If you are asking to create a dropdown list with all available tables, run the query above somewhere into the current worksheet. Then use the data validation feature of Excel:
-select the cells you want to have the list of values
-choose to validate the values from a list
-enter the address of the cells where the table names are kept
