Using SQL*XL in Excel 2007

You can use SQL*XL 4.1 in Excel 2007 without problems. A new version of SQL*XL will be developed however to make use of Excel 2007's new features. Most notably these are the new ribbon interface and the extended number of rows (1048576) and columns (16384)

A number of modifications have been made to work better with Excel 2007. These modifications were necessary to work in the area of rows and columns that are not available in previous Excel versions. Hitherto the maximum number of columns was 255 and the maximum number of rows was 65535. When you use cells outside of this range SQL*XL did not work correctly. Errors as "cannot insert rows" were received and autofit did not work properly.

All problems have been fixed in version 4.1.14.
