Tagging of Oracle sessions
 
Hitherto a SQL*XL Oracle database session was registered as an Excel application. SQL*XL will now set the module property to SQL*XL. When viewing the session information in v$session you can see that a session is a SQL*XL session.
 
Database administrators will like this ability of SQL*XL. If a more granular tagging is required I suggest to use the DBMS_Application_info to add your own tags. You can set module, action and the client_info fields. For examples see:
