Access the control panel from a locked down PC

I needed to configure an ODBC DSN but had no access to the control panel in CITRIX. The following vbs script will start the ODBC applet of the control panel.

  • Create a new text file
  • Enter the following code:
    Code:
    dim ws

    set ws = createobject("WScript.Shell")

    ws.run "control.exe odbccp32.cpl"

  • Rename the file to newname.vbs
  • Double click the vbs file to start the control panel ODBC applet
