Execute PL/SQL in Excel

Yumna from Indonesia asked the following question.

Question:
How do I execute PL/SQL in Excel? Can you provide an example?

Answer:
It is easy. In the SQL*XL SQL dialog, just type the PL/SQL call. It is best to wrap it in an anonymous block.

Examples:

begin
  my_procedure.my_package(1,2,3,4);
end;

begin
  insert into mytable (col1,col2,col3) values (1,2,3);
  commit;
end;
