Question:
We are migrating a lot of Excel data in the dB but we need to duplicate certain information from the spreadsheet into multiple tables at once. How to best do this?
 
Answer:
You could decide to let SQL*XL pump it all into a reception table. So you have more control over the transactions you could use SQL or PL/SQL if you use Oracle or T-SQL if you use SQL Server to process the data further.
 
You use the SQL*XL multiple rows insert feature to insert the data into your reception table:
