I want to use following code
---------------------------
BREAK ON dep_no
COMPUTE SUM OF amt ON dep_no
select dep_no,amt from table;
--------------------------
But compute is not supported. How else the same effect be acheived

You are correct. Compute is not yet a supported command. The only thing you can do is to use Excel's function to add subtotals. See the Excel data menu.
 
If there is more demand for this feature I will build it in.
