Refresh queries without showing the SQL
27.11.05 at 08:06:44
Lawrence from India asked the following question:
Is it possitble not so show the query (SQL) when clicking the refresh button?
The refresh queries button will collect all the SQL from your currect workbook and put the statements in the SQL dialog so you can rerun them. By clicking the refresh button you cannot hide the SQL dialog where the SQL is shown. You need this dialog to run the SQL statements.
What you require is a way to re-execute the SQL and not to reload the SQL into the dialog. You can make your own refresh button quite easilly. With the macro recorder in Excel you can record the executing of the SQL. Rerunning the macro will rerun the SQL and it will put the result in the same location.
