Is it possible to generate an insert statement out of the excel file ??

I ask this question because we are not allowed to use SQLXL on our Production database.

You can use the CreateInsertStatement function:

=sqlxl.xla!CreateInsertStatement("emp",$A$1:$H$1,A2:H2)

In this example I have hard coded the table name emp. The column names are read from A1 to H1 and the values from A2 to H2.

You can insert this function through Excel's insert function. It is in the user defined section.
